Settle this first, because it changes your height limit. Farragut allows fences up to seven feet with no building permit. Unincorporated Knox County and the City of Knoxville each apply their own requirements. Concord sits right at that boundary, so a mailing address does not settle it.

West Knoxville is dense with covenanted subdivisions, and covenants commonly restrict height below seven feet, limit material and color, and require the fence to start at the rear corners of the house.
